Humble Beginnings in New Jersey & Texas

Born June 21 1996 in Ridgewood, New Jersey, Scheffler spent his early childhood with a close-knit family: father Scott, mother Diane and his three sisters — Callie, Sara and Molly.
After the September 11 attacks his family moved to Dallas, Texas when he was six.
His father, once a high-school athlete, and mother, a business manager turned executive, sacrificed much so their son could pursue the green.
“A lot of my personality probably comes from my dad,” Scheffler once said.

High-School Sweethearts: Meredith & Scottie

At Highland Park High School in Dallas, Scottie met Meredith Scudder (now his wife).
They began dating in their senior year and maintained a long-distance relationship when each went off to college (Scottie to University of Texas, Meredith to Texas A&M).
In December 2020, after roughly six years together, they married in a “Winter Wonderland” themed ceremony in Dallas.

Fatherhood & Priorities

May 8 2024 was a milestone: Scottie and Meredith welcomed their son, Bennett Scheffler.
Even at the height of his career, Scheffler has stated: “If golf starts affecting my home life or my relationship with my wife or my son, that’s going to be the last day I play.”
